None of the fresh meat carried by the Kiva is produced with the use of antibiotics or added hormones.

Commitment to Local

None of our fresh meats come from outside the Pacific Northwest. Oregon farms carried by the Kiva include:

  • Knee Deep Cattle Company is a local farm that raises Antibiotic and Hormone Free beef.  The animals are free range and born and raised on the farm.  Knee Deep Farm is Certified Humane and is also dedicated to Sustainable Farming and a Low Carbon Footprint.  Products we carry; Ground Beef, Beef Stew Meat, Beef Coulette Steaks ( the top cap of top sirloins), Beef Brisket, Beef Chuck Steak, Beef New York Steak, Beef Top Sirloin Steak, Beef London Broil, Beef Tri-Tip Steak, Beef Chuck Roast, Beef Polish Sausage, Beef Sausage, and Uncured Beef Hot Dogs.
  • Lonely Lane Farms is a farm located in Mount Angel, Oregon.  Lonely Lane does not use feed that contains GMOs or animal by-products.  Lonely Lane’s animals are Antibiotic and Hormone Free.  Products we carry; Ground Beef, Stir Fry Beef, Beef Top Round Steak, Beef Rib Eye Steak, Beef Top Sirloin Steak, Beef New York Steak, Beef Cross Rib Roast, Pork Sausage Links, Pork Leg Roast, and Pork Bacon.
  • Rain Shadow El Rancho‘s animals are Pasture Raised, NO Growth Hormone or Antibiotics.  Rainshadow is a small family farm located in Scio, Oregon.  Products we carry; Pork Loin Chops, Pork Sirloin Cutlets, Pork Leg Steaks, Ground Pork, Pork Sausage, Pork Leg Roast, Pork Bacon, Chicken Apple Sausage, Mediterranean Chicken Sausage, Broccoli Chicken Sausage, and Whole Body Chickens.
  • Deck Family Farm‘s animals are Certified Organic Pastured.  They use NO Synthetic Fertilizers, Herbicides, Hormones or Antibiotics.  They are also not fed any soy feed.  Deck Family Farm is located in Junction City, Oregon.  Products we carry;  Lamb Bacon, Pork Chorizo Sausage, Pork Hot Italian Sausage, Pork Garlic Sausage and Pork Bacon.
  • Cheviot Hill Farm:  Local, free-ranging, grass fed lamb.  We currently carry an assortment of Lamb Cuts from Cheviot Hill based on their availability.
    • Provenance Farm is a local farm from Philomath, Oregon.  We carry their whole body chickens.
